A Mufasa origin story? Honestly that sounds dope! But not in this live action crap. Whatever happened to classic 2D animated films?
Jeff Dunham would make a great Joker, among other Batman characters from his incredible voice range. I say this because Mark Hamill is an American treasure, not just for saving a galaxy far far away, but also just sticking to being the PERFECT Joker after all these years, and now that we no longer have Kevin Conroy for Bruce and the Bat, despite people still voicing and playing the dark knight doing a good job, anyone else who voices the Joker just sounds like they're trying too hard to be poor imitations, and should our Luke Skywalker American sweet heart pass away too soon, I personally think Jeff's impression of Walter and Peanut would make a perfect fit, not only to get out of a rut, but also give Hamill's legacy proper respect.
This feels backwards. We should've had the Mufasa story first in the new 'live action' as proof of concept with the obvious unspoken promise of, "If you like this and it does well- we'll do the Lion King next".
Doug… I and almost everyone else wished the same thing; We wished they did this in 2D animation.
The only good thing the “live action” Lion King gave us was the Doug clapping meme 😂
Try this fanscription: What if Dormammu was the true villain of Dr Strange 2?
This is a classic. Yall haters gonna hate, it's nostalgia critic. If you're expecting some food for thought, insightful commentary or unopinionated views you've come to the wrong place. Cringe is the vessel that delivers the entertainment. Rob Scallon slayed this shit. nvm just watched the critters part. i don like it, too scary
I remember seeing the original when I was 11 years old. The episode was downright eerie and the finale freaked me out. John Dehner was great at ramping up the tension. Another superb script from Charles Beaumont. He wrote five stories for the Zone.
They have a goodwill for goodwill it's called the outlet store
Have not watched NC for a long time. Mainly because it became too much of a comedy show and less of a critique. This is the NC style I love and hope you make more episodes like this.
50:09 Line: Are you dead? Subtitles: Are you gay
So much for Disney's Wish and 2023 overall being the year of Disney's 100th anniversary celebration, as the 2020s is still giving Disney a lot of bad luck lately...
This is so true for games as well. Seeing a few screenshots of a game or cool boxart, or hearing about it from your friends. Nowadays we know way to much about everything before it comes out. I think it's a real shame, we lost that sense of wonder for so many things because we get flooded with information about everything.
Not interested, not caring if it flops or not. I’m just numb with these remakes nowadays.
I think it's funny how my little pony friendship is magic had a similar plot in 2 of their episodes and did a much better job than it. It was interesting seeing the town give up their talents believing in starlight and putting up fake smiles to put up an act that they are ok. But the show does a clever way of showing things aren't what they seem and everything makes sense while also having something to ponder about from the villain
There was a time when I tried to make sense of this movie. Now I look at this and realize that I was kidding myself - this movie is absolutely, ridiculously lame-brained.
We need to stop calling it the live action Lion King and should start calling it the Photo realistic animated Lion King
Mufasa, aka, *Please Don't Go To Theatres Just for Deadpool and Wolverine!*
I remember the audience reactions for the teasers for both Tarzan and Mulan. I begged my mom to take me to see them and losing it when I did see them, I lost my mind when they showed them the teasers for Mighty Joe Young and Toy Story 2.
Is there anyone at Disney that realizes making stuff they know everyone is only going to watch just to hate it really soulless?
I remember this one too well for my own sake! Love it! Please make "Thle Little House" from Walt Disney 1952 if you haven't yet. It has a nice ending but also some very dark scenes!
Ahhhhhhh this movie sucks! You should get a refund! Go see... Toy Story. It's in the theater next door!
Basically it fucking sucks!
I've been with you since "Hook." Stay strong and keep on killing it, Doug 🤙🏻
While its unique for them to do a prequel and it does look like they are gonna improve on the expressions and have new music. Still I don't like these designs and the overall color pallet of this film or it's 2019 predecessor, but perhaps that won't be a problem if the story is good 🤔.
If it was hand drawn animated then I’d actually be excited
So hyped for this I’m a huge Lion king fan love Lion king 1 2 and 1/2 Loved the live action Lion king And I just know I’m gonna love mufasas the Lion king❤❤❤
Yes, but A Thousand Miles, Starring Terry Crews
At least this is an original story from disney, so that's something
Hey, critic now that kieth David has played husk what do you think
13:22 there was a deleted scene that shows that batman killed a guy in front of his son, figuring it out that kiling is not a good thing and then left and this scene that would fix all my issues with keaton....... DC WHY?!!!!
Is it just me Or Does Nostalgia Critic always change the thumbnail in each of his videos Twice 🤔
Though it is a little weird how we're gonna be watching Mufasa on his journey, and his trials and tribulations to become kind, all while knowing he gets brutally murdered in cold blood.
Spoiler Alert! He dies.
16:00 Hol' up... Dimitri? Nah why you gotta disrespect my boy Petry like that lmao
I mean I've heard rumors of this for a while like a year at least. I'm a bit optimistic too because yeah this is something new... ish from Disney, for once, rather than a bad remake... however, but, on the other hand, how many cliche words can I throw out lol. There are a few issues I noticed. 1... he's the 1st Lion King? Despite them being established as royalty? 2... for gods sakes why are Timon and Pumba here? I heard so much crap about how bad they were in the live action 1, 2 that interferes again with the established world, Lion King 1 1/2 is a thing Disney did you forget about it? How fricken old are these 2, on death's door by Lion King 2? Like they live through almost 3 monarchies, and child to adult lion plots... how? Through Mufasa's life, Simba's life, and whatever his daughter's name was, her life. What African fountain of youth did they drink from? 3... I mean why not do animated? Why is Disney allergic to that now? Back to defending it... if they rework it, delay it so it isn't battling with a guaranteed successful movie like Sonic 3 (yes I know everyone else is saying that, not to downplay it, but it's already looking promising and we haven't even seen the trailer for that yet), I think it COULD be decent. Again it is something new, not another 1/2 hearted crap, Disney trying to be woke (... hopefully), remake. Even then, there are some Disney movies I think would thrive in a remake... well mostly just 1, but yeah Black Cauldron, 100% think if they went live action remake, weren't afraid to get dirty and dark, and followed the books, could be the next Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. There's promise in some Disney stories... they just gotta use there heads and not goof it up.
I love that the instrumental for the movie reviewed sounds so much like the Double dragon & Battletoads theme.
defently interested In watching.
wait a minute why would a lion be in love with a woman?
I feel nothing for this Prequel
The first 2 Terminator movies are the quintessential showcase for what Arnold can do in an action movie with substance, meanwhile Commando is the other end of the spectrum, where it’s the quintessential showcase for what Arnold can do in a guilty pleasure action movie
avatar the last airbender is a beautiful show.
I would listen to “Fearless Hero”, a hundred times on repeat before I listened to a single of Wish’s songs
The prequel no one asked for nor thought of
love your work
Didn't even know it was being released 😂
